2000 Camp Meeting Ridge Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
An enticing dark, purple "robe" is the first indication that this is a special wine. The perfume is intense, as usual, with a complex mélange of red and dark fruits all vying for attention. Our characteristic CMR spice, more baking spice than East Indian this vintage, overlays the fruit and extends through into the finish. The palate is thick and richly layered with ultra-fine tannins and flavors that linger with a pleasant persistence. This wine will be even harder to resist upon release than the '99! However, we truly feel that this is one of the finest Pinots we have made over the last several vintages and that it will only get better over the next 1-3 years. Your patience will be rewarded.

- Native yeast & malolactic fermentations
- 75% new French oak. Total time in barrel: 14 months
- Bottled unfined and unfiltered in December 2001; 573 cases produced
